Cela fait maintenant une petite semaine que je suis à Auckland, et je tenais vraiment à vous faire partager ce que je vois ici.

Après m’être très vite remise de mon voyage et du décalage horaire, un pied à terre chez mes amis de Bubblerock, je me lance à la découverte d’Auckland. Auckland est une superbe ville à taille humaine. Le temps est magnifique et il fait relativement bon. La première chose que j’ai faite en arrivant ici, c’est d’aller à la plage ! Quel dépaysement ! Je viens de quitter l’hiver et la neige en France, et je me retrouve en short et sandales. L’eau est très claire, turquoise, et la température est idéale pour se baigner. Se promener sur la côte avec des écouteurs sur les oreilles est un vrai bonheur.

Le centre ville d’Auckland ressemble à un petit San-Francisco, avec ces quais et ses routes inclinées. La population est multi-culturelle. Je vous conseille vivement de monter en haut de la Sky Tower pour admirer la vue. Je l’ai fait de jour, mais c’est incontestablement à refaire de nuit pour avoir une autre ambiance. Certains quartiers sont très sympa pour faire du shooping car il y a de nombreux créateurs.

Je suis allée faire un tour au musée d’Auckland que je vous recommande vivement. Il y est présenté une très grande collection d’art Maori. Le deuxième étage du musée est consacré à la faune et la flore luxuriante de l’île, le troisième étage à l’environnement volcanique. A côté du musée se trouve le jardin botanique avec une belle architecture et un espace entièrement consacré aux différentes variétés de fougères.

La vie le soir est canon ! Les bars et les petits restaurants sont dingues ! Il y en a partout, dans des styles très différents. Il faudrait une vie pour tous les tester ! La promenade le long du port le soir est très agréable. A Auckland et en Nouvelle Zélande de manière générale, je trouve que l’on mange assez épicé. J’ai eu l’occasion de tester quelques produits locaux comme le Kumara avec lequel j’ai fait un cake sucré, et le Feijoa.
